Okay, about a month ago i finished paying off the layaway on my memphis 12's. I bought a cheap sealed box to use while i play around with different designs and such. Anyway, they cost me 300 bucks for the pair. I didnt think much of them for that price. I screwed em into the box, hooked the voice coils so each ran as an 8 ohm sub, bridged my amp and went to town. They really disappointed me at first, and then i realized they needed to break in first. I never owned a new pair of subs till now, so i hadnt thought about subs breaking in. Took most of the 3 hour road trip of "moderate" listening, varying between heavy bass, quick drum kicks, and smooth low bass guitars. Anyways, on 300w between the 2 of em, they knock really hard. They are *rated* for 200w rms, but everybody i talk to that works with subs like these every day say they can handle at least 600 rms. They have a really smooth response for a 12, and are quick like 10's.
All in all, id have to say that these are very good subs in their price range, and have really suprised me. They have a really cool cone design too.
I'd give em an 8.5/10 overall. I cant really complain about em.
A good buy in my book.
