This is the first time posting on this forum, however, i have been reading it for some time. My question is this: I currently have a memphis belle 1300d running my whole system which includes 2 idmax v312 d4 (wired at one ohm 1100watts), image dynamics csx62 (two ohms 112watts each ), and crystal mobile sounds for rear fill (will change them soon). I am pleased with the sound of the system, but a, thinking of upgrading soon. I have read many good things about the ed amps, especially the nine.1. How does this amp compare to the memphis amps, especially mine. (for the rest of the system, I was planning on getting a memphis 3004 amp). thank you.

thank you for the speedy responce. the change would just be for sound quality. I know power wise there are about the same, but I've read the ednine has very good sound quality.

thank you. well i quess i'll stick with what i have. another little question, what is the difference between a subsonic filter and a low pass filter?

Are you kidding?

I also own a belle and love it, the best amp I ever owned plus it runs my entire system....what more do you want?

The sound quality from the belle is also amazing....

I don't see what you are going to gain by changing amps, the belle is all you need

i've owned an mc-1000D and an mc-3004.....best SQ out of amps i have ever heard to date (yes theres better out there but for the money memphis amps takes the cake) and i only sold the 1000D to get more power...and there's gotta be a gun to my head before i will sell that 3004........i LOVE that amp.......and yes the belle is saxy, like the saxaphone

ED 9.1 is such a great amp, puts out around 1400-1500 watts, stays very cool, and the

3 year warranty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Interestingly enough

my "little" system consists of a Memphis and an eD amp -

unfortunatly I cant say one is better than the other id say they are close in every aspect that I have fooled with

That Memphis Belle amp is pretty stout, the only up grade I could see you doing is swapping it out for 2 seperate amps with more power regardless of brand

I do also own Diamonds D6 amps on my "Big" system and they will smoke the above mentioned in SQ,clarity and output,of course they cost more, they do have a good warrenty (lifetime) they are made in the USA -

Memphis is made in Korea and eD is made in some other far away land.

So,if you really want to step it up and it will be a baby step nonetheless

you need to look to a different brand entirely

the ed amps are just decent budget amps, cough*avionixx*cough. The m class memphis amps would wipe the floor with them. Definitely DO NOT switch, you'll regret it. I'm actually going the other way around and switching from the nine.1 and nine.2 over to a mojo and a mc300.
