I just picked up the memphis 1000d amp for $50 The circut card is damaged, so memphis says it will cost 150$ to fix. Good idea or no?

if its a ST-1000D or an MC-1000D, do it. If its anything made after that then I wouldnt reccomend it.

You might check with the online amp repair places, they may be lower priced than memphis.

id say fix it especially if it's an 16-mc1000d....not sure about the 6-mcd1000 (newest ones) but im sure thier still just as good. the mclass stuff is quality, used 16-mc1000d tend to go around 250ish minimal so if you can get a quote for cheap then gofor it....at least memphis will provide a warrannty after fixing it. solid *** amps, i loved my old 1000d
