I know that my carelessness caused this, I put a HU in the glove compartment of my 84 caddy, while running the yellow wire(which runs separate) I must of shorted it out with ground, and know the memory gets lost everytime I turn the car off. Any idea what fuse that might be. THANKS

What fuse that might be? What do you mean?
well the red 12v wire works, but the yellow one is the one not working. I connected the red and yellow on the HU to the 12v red from the harness. It works but the memory gets lost

the red wire is switched.....having it hooked up this way, every time the key is off, the memory is lost

test the fuse labeled LTR in the fuse block next:yes:

you can do one of two things

1) troubleshoot the problem.... check fuses...probe the harnesses with DMM etc

2) run a new 12v+.... best place would be fused from batt...easy place to do it would be from the ignition lines...
