was also looking at this some people on the gm forums have said they used an ad244 with their bracket with nice results just not sure about installing an external bridge rectifier lol. I always try to go with the less is more motto

DC power makes a real good alt

Runs at 599 for an alternator. Not sure if I want to spend that much

I love my singer 270... He has the best costumer service if I had any questions at all he would answer me within 30 minutes. He even let me make payments on mine till I could pay it all the way off, great guy that makes some bad *** alts! SINGER ALTS ARE THE BEST ALTS EVER MADE!

Mine was 612 or something shipped. 275xp puts out 180 amps at idle and upwards of 300 driving. I didn't have room for a lot of extra batts and this alt puts out the power. Cold it's 15.2 volts and warm its 14.6-14.8 at the amp. Craftsmanship is top notch it's a piece of art

The guys at DC are real helpful. You will have to wait a few weeks but for me it's worth that and every penny I spent. My amps play better sound is improved and its louder I can't say enuf good things about this alt

I've heard good things on mechman and lately singer. I wouldn't touch any of the off brands on ebay tho. I believe after the head unit the alternator is the 2nd most important part of a system so don't cheap out on it. If you can find one stinger is a good brand too

powermaster is also a great alt , but not cheap either .yea i talk to dave at dc power as well great guy ,so now i have an dealer acct there as well
