what do you guys think? I'm looking for a 250 amp but heard that the EA puts out way less at idle. is this true? which one do you guys run and how do you like it? thanks.

I went mechman

my resting voltage when warm is only 13.5-13.8 volts though, however they said if i pull the plug on the alternator and run it that way, it will idle around 15 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

ive used EA

overall not a bad alt but idle voltage was a lot lower than i expected

im planning on trying mechman if i can ever decide what vehicle im installing in

and mechman prices are a lot better than most of the other HO alts

thats what I was told, 150 at idle. Car is 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis. I challenge you to find an alt that is putting out a true number better than 150 amps at idle. And I am sure if you are competing, you'll have a few batteries as well.

is that with the system full tilt? you should be 14+ @ idle
