mechman alt came in

I'm sure losing one customer absolutely destroys their business.
tried installing my alt today, found out I need another adapter that goes to the harness that attaches to the alt. I need a rectangle to oval adapter, any idea on where I can get one?

the wiring harness to my mech370a is going to be delivered today!! I guess you can say im pretty 'amped' up. pun intended1! also have 30ft of true OFC coming in, all I need now is some 250a fuses and finally after almost a year im gna connect this Q1-4500 lol

why? all alts get hot. as long as im at 14.6v when its hot and 15.2 on a cold start, and never below 13 full tilt on 4500 rms then i can care less what it puts out when hot.
The more I see your responses, the more I'm beginning to think you don't know much about electrical systems. You're not seeing 4500w. Let me say that again, you're not seeing 4500w. If you're charging at 14.6v and dropping to 13 or 13.2, you should be concerned. A 370a alt should be able to sustain a fairly large load.

That's why I said clamp it when it's hot. A hot clamp will show you the true power your alt is producing. A cold clamp is false number. In fact, you should clamp the 4500 as well. I say this because if you clamp only 2500w out of the amp and your dropping to 13v, you have an issue. That's when you need to clamp the alt and see if it is indeed pushing 370a at peak demand, because it sounds like it isn't.

I'm trying to help and you're getting really, really offended. No joke, dropping that much with your setup is concerning.

I agree with this. My buddies truck was dropping to 11s on 3k. He purchased a dual alt bracket and added the stock alt to the 240 HO on there. Still dropping to high 11s. I did a through inspection of his wiring and discovered that his battery ground wasn't making a very good connection and his amp ground was touching a bare metal bolt but the surface it was bolted to was also painted. Cleaned and sanded down both locations and boom, 13.5 at full tilt. And the difference in output is substantial.

I'm genuinely trying to help this guy (who has another thread saying he's dropping big time), but he thinks I'm out to get him or something. His stories are very conflicting, because in this thread he states 13v full tilt, which is concerning. In the other thread he says he's dipping into 12s and 11s, which is flat out alarming! I legit think something is either wrong with his wiring or a faulty alt (wouldn't be the first faulty alt either), but instead he thinks I'm trying to sabotage him or something by asking him to clamp his setup and pinpoint the cause.
