Hey guys,

So basically no company makes a H/O alt with more than around 250A for my 1998 Toyota T100.

I'm thinking about running dual Mechman 370s along with my ohio gen 200A I already have installed. I've seen these alternators used in cars that are not listed on the compatable vehicle chart on mechmans site, but how does this exactly work?

My Ohio gen 200A plugs directly into my stock Toyota electrical plug. So would I just somehow piggy back off those wires to my Mechmans alts to tell them to turn on?

Im going to let my Ohio gen alt power the engine battery which will stay isolated from the audio system, and then I'll run 1/0 wire from my mechman alts straight to the back battery bank.

I'm still trying to read and learn more about large electrical systems in car audio but I'm having a hard time finding exact answers I'm looking for.

Any knowledge shared or helpful links would be greatly appreciated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Thanks for the help!

See how these excessive amperage alts already have a plug in them and that yellow wire sticking out just going to IGN fuse and they turn on. I'd get excessive amperage or Ohio gen over mechman anyday

Thanks Massive!

Thats exactly what I was looking for!

Okay good to know about mechman. Maybe I'll see what Ohio gen can produce since Tom knows me from previous purchases and repairs. i just didn't think Ohio gen made alts up in the 350A range.

Yea Ohio gen makes 350a hairpins and if you buy two of them they should get around $450-500 each... Way better then mechman 370a for $699 or whatever high price they asking

Seriously? **** yeah! That would be killer. Then I could use the extra $400 I save to get a triple alt bracket made. Sweet!!!! I really appreciate the help. This just made my day! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
