Alright,

The Mechman 225 amp'er for the stock location got installed successfully today. Even though there was some slight difficulties with the fitting, Mechman responded lightning-fast to the situation and custom-made me a bracket to make things work for me and it was a perfect fit. I got it installed and turned on the satty and it held a solid 14.6V and the test-drive was great and held above 14.3V the whole time (the AC-position alt was off for the test-drive...and no equipment was in the car..just the HU and a pair of comps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif..yea, its painful)...amp dyno'd at about 153 amps at idle and 243 amps max //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

HUGE thanks to Matt and Dennis for the fast response to the fitment problem+fix //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i hate alt installs, always some bracket mod needed or some bolt that is too short, or a belt that is too long/short or some tensioner that has to be moved //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I actually really enjoyed it...the new bracket was perfect and was just a minute to install //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

It was the power steering that was a huge %$#@ of the day...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif...lots of cursing going on during that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

Glad it worked out for you. That should be a beast with dual alts.
Thanks a million Matt, and down the road a bit i'll be ordering my replacement 250 amp'er from you guys for the AC-position //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
