Southeast Region MECA World Finals Oct. 3-4

wife runs a 94 explorer with 2-12 dc lv4 30a fuse on a mtx92001 best is a 144.8 so far only had the truck a week.i run a 94 jeep gr. cherokee with 2-15 lv4xl and 2- sd8000's on 300a fuse best is a 152.7

I know its not safe running one 300 amp fuse with that kind of power but where should it be ran.

That's allot of surface area and power for s1 and if your already doing a 144.8 then with some tweaking her number should be pretty good. I still got some more testing to do but probably will only be looking at a 145 or so hopefully. The fusing is for competition classification only, im sure he runs other fuses for daily. In MECA they have what you call a Pressure Class Formula. It is

{(Total Amperage of In-line Fusing X 10) + Woofer Cone Surface Area} = Pressure Class #

That along with other rules are how you get put into the class your running. Here is some more info on this.

thank you sir. yeah the 300 is for comp only. i actually only use the amps for comp only now. daily i use a dd m1

ps that 152.7 was with one sd only. the 2nd one will be on for finals. hehe

Nope Meca announced their Finals last year. Way before Db Drag/Usaci.

He speaks the truth. Don't be surprised if dB drag ends up doing their finals with MECA next year - they were going to do it this year and could not back out of their previous arrangement. I know MECA had a few shows in Texas this year and Steve is just looking for event director(s) to run the events in that area.

i am nervous now doing a amp change right before finals. we wil see i quess. i also gotta recone both subs. i ripped the spider clean off the coil. lol to much power i quess.
