MECA question..

in the rules, it states that the sub enclosure and all spare batteries MUST be mounted...do they ever check for this? does it really matter? also, it says stuff about not being able to play music with foul language and wearing hearing protection...does any of this really matter?

You only need to play real music in two SPL classes - that is AS (Amature Street) and Drive-By compeitions. You MAY play muisc instead of tones in Street, Modified, Modex, and Xtreme if you like but if you do you're not going to get the best score you could have if you'd of just done a burp.

To compete in AS class and Drive-by, you need a CD that is a clean version of the album, and it must be a commercially produced album (meaning no burnt CD's).

As far as equipment being mounted, in the rules it states that batteries must be secured. Now enclosures are a different sort of grey area, since some enclosures by design cannot move around much if at all. So thats really the call of the judge at the time.

Yes. Make sure your batteries are mounted (or look mounted). Ive seen people use bungie cords, wire, duct tape, brackets, boxes, zip ties, and more.

And Yes I have used them all lol.

As for the boxes. Like snoop said its a grey area. If you push your box and it doesnt really move your good. But if you can touch your box and it slides around in the trunk then find someway to stabilize it.

The reason for the no foul language is to keep it a family friendly atmsophere. Most people dont like their little ones to hear the language in some songs. MECA is just trying to promote a family enviroment.

last year, when i met you at finals, when it was raining, freezing *** cold. only the show cars were inside.

the competitors were outside under tents & shit cuz of the rain. dude, it was freezing.

This is true. My nutzsackz was quite cold. That did ****, but it was totally worth it to watch dominick irragi inside my tent working on an alternator made by Excessive Amperage that fell apart //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif I wouldnt trade that memory for all the agony and piss poor weather we had that weekend //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
