Duct tape on the ports is not allowed. We had to use electrical tape in an AS car at 2006 finals.

Oh, I didn't catch that. We used gorilla tape at world finals and the judges were fine with that as long as we were only using to hold the ports together. Any other use of it would have been prohibited.

Yeah, I know it doesn't "technically" increase SPL levels, but we had to use electrical tape to keep our AS car legal.

As previously stated, it really shouldn't bother anybody, but somebody COULD use that as a basis for protest.

But since you guys compete in the biggest MECA area I doubt anybody will say anything.

I hate at what the fuse rule has become. Hopefully they'll limit fuses this year and get rid of these massive *** banks of AGU's. Shit's lame.

Also, whats with these extra batteries in AS cars? I thought they could only have one.

Sorry for bringing my thread back up, but I've been living in IN w/o any internet. Anyways, that battery is either unhooked or taken out during Ryan's runs. The judges always check it. As far as for the duct tape rule, they allow us to do it.
