installing a 15001 in a buds car where he had a 2000.1. the 2000.1 had 2 sets of 4g input running off the rear batt. the new amp has 1 set of 4g inputs. i am going to make a adapter to fit both 4g into his amp. i need someone to please measure the id of a amps 4g input PLEASE...Corey

this is pretty stupid...

1. why cant you measure

2. 4 guage = 5.189mm or at least it is supposed to

3. if the amplifier only has a single 4 ga input then it doesnt need twice that there fore there will likely be no gain in using double that so why waste the time.

4. if someone was going to measure 4ga wire they need to know the exact wire you are using as manufacturers although they are not supposed to may vary a tad so someone elses measurements may not equal that of the wire you have.

cant measure a amp when i am in a machineshop, lol.

and ummm i have made adapters to put 2 0gauge wires in 1 0gauge input on amp and there is ALWAYS a gain.

the car was a idbl car,has a powermaster 200 alt ,couple optimas,2 0g runs from front to back of power. he went from 15s with 4k to 10s with 2k but the 2k died so it's 1500 time.
