MD Napalm Recone *Pixors*

my thoughts exactly.

CA glue i got a few different kinds, i used some stuff i bought off a team mate on this one, pretty good work time. The accelerator i use is from cyberbond

not sure what other kinda glues your talking about, only thing stronger ive discovered is 2 part epoxy and its such a pain to work with and impossible to lay a bead with i think ca is the all around best material

nah- their is CA glues like Loctite 410 and 411c, 2 part epoxies such as 3m dp105 and 3m dp190, then their is acrylic glues such as 3m dp810 and Methyl methacrylate like 3m dp420.. different glues are far better for certain surfaces...

Because you have to mix the stuff that we use with a piece of paper on a piece of cardboard...

The stuff that comes in the little mixer stick things isnt as strong as the loctite stuff is.

may i recommend something then?

3M Duo-Pak Scotch-Weld EPX 200ML Manual Applicator

mcmaster part #74695A71

i wouldn't personally go with anything smaller than a 6" tip.. you can flame me if you would like.. I'm just trying to help...

I'm sure standard CA works well also, just throwing some more options out their

That's just the gun though right?

Whenever we have to use epoxy (like in a extreme car where we gotta get it done really fast) we use a loctite 5 minute like 10 ton blue/red epoxy that comes in 4oz tubes...much cheaper that way

yeah- that is just the gun.. the loctite stuff you are talking about is good shit as well.. I'm just trying to help out here...I personally like the gun, i find it useful, and it opens up the opportunity to a whole new range of epoxies, etc:)

btw- if you go to mcmaster carr and search "duo pak" it will give you a good list of epoxies:)

woven tinsels are a pretty cool feature, this is my first time using a spider with those, and i must say i like the concept
the huge dustcap makes reconeing much easier, i layed a bead of glue inside the surround on the cone and Pop'd the cap on.

Ive been reconing for about a month now, ive done like 2 by myself, 3 with nick from Fi and 3 with Loyd
n00bx.

We use it with the 6" long tips when we reconstruct stock door panels after we do inserts or re-upholstery.
