I searched on here, and I searched on several car-specific sites. I am looking for information on the applicability of using this ONLY to deaden the floor of the cabin and trunk in my Sentra.
In order to actually FIND it, you have to go to http://www.mcmaster.com/ and search for item 9545t1 in the box on the upper left.
At $78 plus shipping for over 250 sq. ft. of coverage, it seems like a good deal, but I am worried about the 120*F max temp. I wonder if it re-liquifies above, 120*, or if it just loses its deadening properties...
I was considering using it for the floor and trunt, though not the doors, etc. I saw here (http://www.b15sentra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=89068) where it was used, but the 2 guys who used it sold their cars within a few months, so I don't know how it held up. The search on here showed that someone baked it at 150* and it supposedly stayed in solid form, but I never saw any followup reports. The last thread with any information was from 2004: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51124&highlight=mcmaster
Any thoughts or opinions?
