I have a rich spoiled *** friend that is looking into McIntosh in his new Mercedes. He wants to know where's the best place to buy it? Forget this post. I found a couple dealers on their website.

I've heard about McIntosh but never heard their products. Unbelievable or what? Those amps have .005% THD. Thats pretty **** good. Anyone ever heard a McIntosh setup?

Very reliable, way under-rated, and WAY over-priced.

That .005% thd won't sound one bit different than .01 or even .1 to you, or your buddy, or any other human for that matter, but you might notice it looking at an o-scope. Is that worth the few hundred extra bones?

IMO amps in that price range have ONE advantage over the main-stream nice amps..."wow" factor.

But if a person can afford it...more power to 'em.

Well the kid is driving a mercades, even if its a lower model it says a little something about them.

Actually in a home theater mcintosh amps sound awesome

But an amp with .005 thd wont matter if you dont wire it perfectly and schedual updates no wire and what not.
