Sold McIntosh MC443 mono amp

This is a mono sub amp rated at 300W into 4 ohms, 500W into 2 ohms, and is stable down to a 1 ohm load. These are typical McIntosh conservative ratings. It's designed to play nice with other equipment, so it's got two built-in crossovers and some other controls. And of course there's the usual phenomenal sound quality and rock-solid construction.

I purchased it back in 1999 and used it in a custom install with 2 a/d/s/ 310rs subs (also for sale in another thread), which put me at a load of 4 ohms. Thus, it has never really been run hard. The primary wear is some slight scratching on the anodized aluminum front panel, which the attached pictures show (nothing serious, but it's not mint either). The glass insert is still pristine.

This amp sounds amazing, will be plenty loud for a sound quality rig (not gonna win any SPL drags with it...), and is built like a tank.

Oh, okay. I bought the system new from Bill at Hear No Evil in Salem, Oregon, and the whole package was installed by them (Alpine CDA-7840 head unit and ERE-G190 sub processor, too). Used to be in a blue Taurus SHO, which I loved to death until the A/C died. Anyhoo, I'm selling the amp and subs because I've decided to upgrade my bass guitar rig (still holding down the bottom end, just on stage instead of on the road). I've got higher quality pics available if you PM me your email address, and I'll shoot you my cell # if you ask, too.
