Just got this in today, got my box built and then tried to hook my sub up to the amp, got everything ready to go and the sub just makes a whining noise, thought the rca's were bad so i got new rca's... still did not work. Tried my audiobahn amp and it worked.. Does anyone have this amp and know if im just a total noob and didn't do something particular right? I think I may have to send the amp back to sonic electronix :/

New MB Quart DSC 1500 took a crap on me - Car Audio Classifieds

I am on my 3rd and last one, if this one is DOA out of box again that is the last Maxxsonix amp I'll buy.

Seems to be a bad batch of 1500.1d going around My DSC 2150 works flawlessly, My first 1500.1d was DOA in protection right out of the box, my second was working but didnt sound right then died one week later waiting on my third since I dont really feel like getting store creadit at Sonic.

I know for a fact this is not my set up issue and I am not the only one going thought this with this perticular amplifier, My Crossfire XP1400d was far more powerful and drew more current then this one and I never had an issue once with it.

Hate to see that you're having trouble, man. The company you're dealing with may have purchased (willingly or otherwise) a stock of damaged equipment or shady refurbs...

Out of all the online car audio dealers sonic has the best Rep, not sure what the deal is but it is rather frustrating.
Totally understanable. I'd be pissed too. But like I said; They may have unknowingly purchased a bulk of damaged amplfiers. The grey market prices are tough to pass up, but sometimes these things do happen.

My cousin had some trouble with Hifonics ZXi 6406's a couple years back, but he finally got it sorted out. Other than your situation, it's the only time I've heard of someone having a tough time finding a functional Maxxsonics amp...

sounds like another maxxsonics problem. sorry to hear ur probs bro pick out a different amp thru them you dont need a 3rd amp...
I would have but they have nothing I really want. and I really dont want to pay a 20% restocking fee.
