Mb Quartz vs Diamond audio (components)

I think I have pretty much narrowed my search of components down to these two brands. I am just trying to figure out which to get. I would like to know who has either of these brands for components and what they think of them.

Also does anyone hear a difference between the silk tweeter and the titanium?

Does the 200 dollar in price increase justify the Q series over the PSD for MB Quartz?

Not what amp (suggestions are welcome though) but what type of amp should I push these with if the rms at about 70-75 watts and peak at 150-170watts? ie 2ch or 4ch....(both brands and types)

I know this was more than one question but I just want to make an educated decsion.

Thanks in advance.

I mainly just want opinions from people that have heard or own these brands of components.

I own the Q series MB Quart's. They are great speakers, but most people would be just as happy with the Premiums. For the average listener to the mildly advanced, the Premiums will offer little audible difference if any at normal listening volumes. If you play your music more at the extreme ends or need a little more "power" or "fullness" coming from the midrange, the Q series might be the way to go over the Premiums.

Anything Diamond usually sounds great. They are a quality company, all I can say.

There is a difference between the two tweeters. Silk usually produces a smoother more inviting sound while titanium usually is brighter and more lively. I prefer titanium, but that makes me a minority. Most people think titanium tweeters are too harsh. The MB Quart tweeters are very tameable, while it's still being debated as to whether the Focal tweeters are, lol.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif The big thing is to give them a week or two to break in before you pass judgement.

With the higher end comps you are looking at, I would get a larger amp and turn the gains down low. This usually gives off a better result by lowering the noise floor. But bridging a 4 channel amp will make you lose your left/right staging and such. I say stick with 2 channel.

Precision Power, Phoenix Gold, JL Audio, US Acoustics, Ultimate Sound, Zapco, Orion, and Memphis are a few companies off the top of my head I can think of that should give you good results. I would stay over 100w per channel though. Hope this helps

Thanks for the post, That was exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate your time. Which Q series do you have?

Is there anyone out there with Diamond Audio components?

N-E-One else have an opinion to share?

Thanks again for the reply. I was trying to figure out if the was going to be a noticeable difference between the QSD and the QM. I am sure there may be but to justify the increase in price. Thanks again for the post.

Anyone own Diamond Audio components????????
