When properly installed, this high quality MB Quart component system will still perform flawlessly and sound impressive. Both the driver and tweeter are ready to play your favorite music with clarity and depth. These speakers belong to the referenz comp series which includes the legendary MUSiCOMP competition grade crossover network.
These crossovers allow you to bi-wire the component speakers. This mean running separate speaker wires from the right channel MUSiCOMP network as though you had a separate amp for tweeter and woofer, but connect both positive wires to your right channel positive amplifier output and both negative wires to your right channel negative amplifier output. Repeat the same for the left channel. Move the Biamp/standard jumper to the biamp position on the MUSiCOMP network. Now you’re bi-wired. This places the ground at the amplifier instead of the crossover network, providing electrical isolation between the high-pass and low-pass filter and preventing unwanted interference. The result is less phase distortion and a much wider stereo image.
