and again. it never sees the .5 ohm nominal load ever .The increased current associated with lower loads is the very thing that threatens to damage the amplifier. More current at the same voltage and the amp will dissipate more heat. This requires beefier heatsinks, power supplies, and output transistors. If the manufacturer did not spend the money to equip the amp with the necessary components you will shorten its life by running it at too low an impedance.
