Aren't the new ones built w/o all the plastic? I was interested in these amps but was hesitant b/c of the plastic casing. Other than that aren't they good solid amps?^^ same here.. Sold my old 125.4 cause it was a plastic heat box....
It worked ok on a 4ohm load per channel and an 8 ohm load per channel ok. It did get hot even at those loads and yes yes I know how to set gains thx.. It worked but u could tell it was cheap and I wanted something lil better and smaller. Great budget amp but may get real hot.Aren't the new ones built w/o all the plastic? you must have had the old design were it was all plastic and like you said, was a heatbox lol.. these new ones seem to dissipate heat a lot more.. its not bad for a $150 amp if you ask me..Been over a year since i had mine...
Ok, thats good. I was getting worried there for a min. These are the amps I plan on running cause I'm on a tight budget with my build and these seem to be the best bang for the buck. I'll have an hour drive each way once I get back and didn't want amps that will overheat and always cut offyou must have had the old design were it was all plastic and like you said, was a heatbox lol.. these new ones seem to dissipate heat a lot more.. its not bad for a $150 amp if you ask me..
Yes most a/b class amps do tend to run hot even with a proper cooling HS. Now toss in nothing but plastic and guess what plastic does not get rid of heat very effectively. Soooooo again great budget amp but not something I would buy again.I don't know about the expensive Class A/B amplifiers, but this is a typical class A/B experience IMHO.
ones a heat box the other is a lil bit better heat box...When did they come out with a new design?so there's two versions on the oynx 4125
Ever ran one??? I have and I think your mind would change if u ever had.. The new ones might be better i doubt it though. Unless you love cheap plastic amps then yep its the amp for you.. Again great budget amp but louisiana heat and plastic dnt mix well here...liked these since they came out.
