MB Quart ONX1500 or SS Rubicon 1600?

I want to upgrade from my AP1500 because I'm a bit skeptical of pushing the amp too hard and then clipping it. I can get a new quart1500 for like $170 or a new rubi1600 around $240. Is the rubicon worth the extra $ or would i get the same performance from the quart? Not really too concerned about the extra 100w on the rubicon, i'll only be using about 1200-1300w

for the price, ive been pretty impressed with the performance of the mb quart amps, mainly the dsc and now the onyx. for the price i would probably just go with the mb

yeah i was thinking i'd just go with the quart. just wanted to now if the rubicon was anything amazing that i should be investing the extra cash for.

The Rubicons are nice, but definitely not worth the extra money imo. I have had experience with an ONYX 1000 and a RUBI 2500

Just got my ONX installed and I am pretty happy with the results. Only thing I do not like about them is the fact that they used way to much plastic. Amp just feels cheap. But as far as its guts they seem solid and for the price I am happy.

I'll have a DTR2200.1 in about 3 days, and it will be in my RSX until someone wants it! I asked directly b/c I wanted one or two more 2200.1's and I was told "there are no more"... so. I will probably get a grip of 2500d's again. Great amps!

or do nothing and keep your AP since you're not going to be pushing it hard to get 1500watts anyway. Why waste your money? If it's overrated then 1200-1300watts is probably where it makes power anyway

ur not gonna clip the amp i have the ap15001 and ss 1600.1 both are great amps and put out alot od power...
