Well I think I made up my mind:

Boston Acoustics SL60 component for the front and SX65 coaxials for the rear (Don't wanna leave them empty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif).

Now the question is: All this speakers will be powered by a Kicker ZX350.4 amp, it does 60 RMS x 4 @ 4 ohms

The SL60 will be fine but I saw the SX65 just do 50 RMS will it be too much power for them? can they handle that? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

I'd def go for some MBQ PVFs up front on 150w. They will get loud and sound crisp. If I were you, if you want some rear speakers, just get some coaxials and run them off head unit power.

You need to get more power for your front speakers... I'd recommend at least 100w for the fronts. They can sound good on 60w, but 100-150w will really wake up midbass.

Oh, and one more thing: usually companies like Boston and MB Quart tend to establish their power ratings with speakers playing full range. Power handling increases greatly with a HPF of 80hz or so, because the speakers won't be reaching their mechanical limits playing bass frequencies.

If I do this and run some cheap DISCUS series coaxs with the HU wouldn't they make distortion at high volume?

I really enjoy music in the car I'm always stuck in traffic coming back from college here in my city so I just want to have a Crisp, clear and loud sound.

Do you know anything about Alpine Type R's components? I've been searching through the forum and everything I read about them is bad, are they really that bad?
