Hello guys I'm trying to decide on a pair of 6 1/2" components for the front and rear doors I have some options my budget is under 150$ each pair and 300$ total:

1) Boston Acoustics SX60

2) Diamond D661

3) MB Quart RVF 216

http://www.mbquart.com/en/produkte/car/reference/produkt.php?nr=rvf_216

I'm looking for good SQL since I have a Kicker L7 12" (pretty loud)

Your opinion will be appreciated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

what car are these going in? use your budget wisely and get a good set for the front only.

So is better If I just get a good pair of comps and coaxials for the rear? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I dont have any experience with sx60's but i had the sx65 coaxs and they are very solid speakers, pretty good range on the highs and lows, i actually have a pair of them right now if you would be interested in buying them used. Ireplaced them with the SL60's so i really have no use for them.

I'm gonna post some pics of the car beause they don't make this at the US is a Ford Fiesta mk7

I have one Kicker L7 12" powered by a Kicker amp ZX750.1 in the trunk, the HU is Alpine CDA-9886...

Now I just need some components but I want to know If 1 pair for the front is enough or 2 pairs for the front and rear will make it even better sound???

The car only has 4 speakers all in the doors 6-1/2"

Opinions Please... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Most people will tell you to spend more money on the comps and forget the rears. I agree with that view.
Ok I guess I'm gonna do that! but I'm just wondering If the sound will be shitty in the back seat... Will it still be loud? I don't want the bass to take over...

mm if ure budget is 150, go with mb quarts premium series. i wouldnt go with reference. =p im thinking of buying me some qsd 213 and qsd 216s. thats one above premium...so thats like 300-400 per =]

If the tweeters mount high, up near your ears, avoid the Quarts because of their metal domes.

If you could find some Diamond Hex S600 comps with the silk tweeter I would go with those over the D661.

Not really, and I think you should worry more about the front seat. If the people in the back were important, wouldn't they be riding up front?

Seriously, in my experence the problem with rear fill is that you probably will not be able to hear it up front (in which case it is a waste of money, IMO). If you can hear it up front then your soundstage is screwed up.

You would be much better off in spending that $300 on components up front. Trust me, if they are pwoered properly the people in the back will have no problem hearing them.

I am pretty sure that for $300 you can find the BA Pro's (since you are already thinking about BA) that will get load as hell. They need some power though.

And yes, Diamond's product quality has gone down hill in recent years.

@ jmanpc

I want your opinion dude //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Between this 2 options what will you choose:

1) x2 MB Quart RVF 216 (Front & Rear Doors) powered by a 4 Ch amp 100 RMS x 4 @ 4 ohms

2) x1 MB Quart PVF 216 (Front only) powered by a 2 Ch amp 150 RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms
