Mazda 3 SQ Build: fiberglassing again...HAT, ARC, TC, and more

Learning from what I've done in the past and all of the experimenting in the old car, I am at least *slightly* more prepared for this next go around. With that said, I introduce you to the new(er) 2005 Mazda 3 hatchback build.

I decided to do A-Pillar pods, midbasses in the doors and sub in the hatch/spare tire well. Here are the pictures and a few notes... I have tons of pictures to upload as it's still in progress so I'll keep adding them a little at a time. Thanks for viewing and for any comments.

Ahhh, the smell of fiberglass in the morning.

Smells as terrible as it does any other time of the day!

And the milshake on top for even more coating...

Lined the interior with some spare foam

For those wondering, I built the sub enclosure modularly like that so that I can swap out the tub and/or the top baffle to accomodate changes in subs back there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Painted the sub baffle black to match.

Cut out steel grille for the panels and mounted up

The sub is a TC SOunds EPIC 12"

Alhough, Im not sure if it'sa special version, but mine has a glossy blue painted frame. I thought they were all silver?

These are not big enough. I want 8" drivers in the doors, so time to get modifying...
