Maybe a Repost... BUT Look what Unique Autosports (SPEED Channel) did to this truck?

I knew they did a hack-job, but I didn't know it was that bad. When they took a can of Krylon to the interior of a Bentley, I knew they were terrible.

IMO, anyone that pays $150k plus for a system ought to have the world's greatest install with better stuff than JBL stuck down with duct tape.

I actually saw Remy with a can of Krylon. He walked up to the camera and said something to the effect of, "We're gonna take this Fusion paint from Krylon and change the look of all this plastic in the ride, do it all white."

i seen that episode...that had to be the cleanest looking inside ive ever seen (becuase it was white) ..... i didnt know it was regular spray paint. or even if that was the propoer choice to use on cars interior. will that even last without fading or whatnot?

Some of his people seem to do a good job while others seem lame. It could be because of the time period to get the job done or just poor quality work.

I have seen them using canned spray paint on interior parts numerous times. That is just very low quality work.

I wonder what you think of Reme's use of "nails" for sub box builds. I have always been taught to use screws, screws and more screws then I watch UA and see their "master" builder using a nail gun to hold the mdf together.

I do admire Buju's upholstering skills. I have no knowledge at all in that area but he seems to know his business and is quite skilled.

JBL must be pouring a ton of money into the show based on the amount of JBL equiptment used in all his builds now. They used to use a lot of JL but I have not seen much of that brand lately.

It's all about the drama babeeee. The show, like OCC, is all about the drama with a bit of build thrown in to keep it legit. Both shows bore me.

I like "Overhaulin'" but again the silly "steal this car and play with the owners" drama is just plain boring and silly.

this is really ridiculous...if i were to pay that kinda money for some car audio installs that shit better be like a **** concert going on inside the truck.

and yeah i have seen them use krylon/other canned spraypaints like outside on the side of their building to paint some of the interiors, i mean the local car audio shop around me even has their own paint shop and does better work than that, for like 1/64th of the price

As long as he uses some liquid nails then nails are fine to hold it together until its settles.

That show is WACK!!

Not that I care but I am pretty sure he uses glue and brads to hold his boxes together. I don't see anthing wrong with that. However, several times I have seen him use fleece and no additional layers of matt when fiberglassing a curved box. Not sure if they skip it for TV or what but it would flex like mad.
