It says top mount depth of 3.25 but I dunno. It looks deeper.

Anyone know mounting depth on S-10 doors w/o using a baffle?

I saw that but on a search a saw some pics and they looked bigger than that. There is one with the mid next to a pack of cigs. I don't really know how long a pack is, but I am thinking that is pretty deep.

Those are actually pretty descent speakers for the money, but they did tend to have a weak midrange,very bass heavy sound. They are deeeeeep, i believe around 3.5," not bad for kenwoods though. I would rather have some Crystal comps over those though.

I thought the price was pretty good. I am more of a 3 way kind of guy. I like the DLS series with the small midrange (2") but I can't find any competitors with small midranges...and DIY 3 way active frontstage is just too expensive.

DLS has some very good systems. How much are you looking to spend on a 3 way system.

yeah pretty nice for kenwood. They are very bass heavy naturally which some people may like cause you can have more midbass without doing anything. they are quite weak though in the high midrange and for me there is a noticable gap between midrange to highs. They really get funky when you turn them up.
