my civic has a stock alty in it, anyone know how much rms it would take before it get damaged or burns out ? i have stock battery and big 3 is not done. not sure how many amps the alty is, around 70 prob.

Around what continuous rms range do guys start to think about it?

crx's around that year have a 60 amp in em stock //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif lol

so 60 amps x 14.4 volts = 864 watts, but when you factor in effeciency ( 75% ) you get 648 watts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

is there a site that have details on how much amp an alternator have? i've tried looking for the specs of my stock alternator, but i cant find anything
