max watts?

ok this may sound like astupid ques but on speaks when it says

200 watts max is it 100 per speaker or 200???

i asked someone about some ma mids that said 200 watts,but no

max and he said it was per mid(400 total) but it didnt say 400 max

The max numbers aren't really important. The number you need is the RMS number(200w RMS) This is the number you want to match to your amp. If you have speaker that is 200W RMS, you will want to have an amp that puts out 200Watts to run that speaker.

thanks for the info!!thats something ive never heard.

i have an amp that puts out 150 watts max +400 max

for sub ch,so i guess i go with spks & sub withthose rms??

with a rms that goes to150 subs yes speakers no

so do i find the closest that sound the best to me,

i think if i recall correctly the inifintys i want are 100rms

found lots 400rms subs

plus any suggestions on tweeters that i cant blow??

easiest way not to blow tweeters is to get a crossover and only allow the high frequencies to go to the tweeters and dont give the tweeter power over its rated rms power rating....
