Mattress recommendations?

firmness vs softness.

If you and the old lady sleep in the same bed, might have to make a compromise somewhere as you two might like diff firmesses.

I went to art van and laid on there machine and got a bed that was ment for me... It was like $800 for the king mattress... But I didn't like the bed even though art van machine said it was a match for me so went out and bought a 2" memory foam topper that goes over your bed.... Fvcking amazing, my bed is the most comfy bed ever.

It is just like this^ mine was like $299 at khols though.

Yeah...not big on the refurb idea.
I have researched for a better deal on the Serta. Hh Gregg has it a lot cheaper but does not ship and none within several states of me.

Most of the online brands offer 100 day money back guarantees. They say if you do not want it they will pick it up and donate to a local shelter.

I am about to start researching the relative densities of the brands we are considering.

If I understand correctly, we should look for a higher density?
you should go to a local place and test out to see which one you like and talk to the sales person and ask what density it is so you can get a feel for what you need.

It has come time for the wife and I to buy a new mattress and am looking for feedback. I am particularly interested if anyone has tried the online portions...Casper, Leesa or any of the Amazon ones. We are looking for a memory foam with med-high firmness.
We have found a Serta icomfort we both really liked but it was $2500 after taxes and what not. I understand a mattress is an investment but d**n. I can find a lot better ways to spend that much scratch.
I bought mine on amazon, its a memory foam medium firm its 12 inches deep, gets the job done. its pretty comfortable! it was 350 or 400 on amazon I forgot the exact price, I also bought the frame separately. its nice, the bed sits up high enough to store stuff under it. that's where my 8 15s and 2 extra 18s are currently stored at. yes they all fit under it perfectly! its a queen size

Do not get a sleep number

I got suckered and I hate it

They keep saying try adjusting your number then wait a couple weeks to adjust to it

And it never gets good

It's just a shity air mattress

Live and learn

No

We got our bed from costco as well....it's worn out though.
What's the average of getting a new mattress>? Every 5 years? 7 years?
Every year if you get some heavy use out of it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/boink.gif.91933e72f927f2cefc79aff02573090c.gif
