Massive subs?

Hey, I went to a local car stereo place, and the dude offered me 2 Massive Reference Series RW-12's, and a US AMP xterminator xt4000d for around $700 dollars.

Im wondering if the Massive's are a good type of sub, thats dependable. I own a 1993 BMW 325i sedan.

I have several questions for you helpful folks here

Any of you know anything about the massive subs? because when i heard it in the shop, it sounded pretty good.

another would be the amplifier. I am definitely not taking the amplifier, so I need your guy's opinion on a good amplifier to power these subs with. Preferably over 1000W.

and last, the music that I listen to is straight rap and hiphop.

Why would you consider the subs and not the amp. That's a solid amp, how much does want to charge you for it?

It was around 750 for the whole thing. Ported box, wires, installation etc..

I didn't say the amp was that bad, I just want a better one. Any suggestions?

I am pretty clueless to the whole amplifier game, the only ones I hear that is good is the Orion 2500D, but I think that is too much power for me, and my subs to handle. Plus I dont have the $$ for that sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

so I need a 1000+ watt amp, preferably a 1200 or 1500W would be nice. or should I just stick the the ones i got offered?

that's a pretty **** good price for all that AND installation. If you're not too into the mobile audio scene, cuz it seems like you're not by ur comment about the amp, just take that deal they're offering you and run it. Upgrade later if you want, and just hope for such little cash that they set ur shit up right the first time around with all the right size wiring and whatnot.

Just ask what they are doing for your wiring especially....Shops can be really gay sometimes....

Basically make sure they dont use 10 gauge for your power wire Or something along those lines...
