I heard that mars will be about the same size as the moon August 27th. Did anyone else hear about this? I can already see it out now sitting next to the moon. But since it's already the 8th and it's so small, it doesn't seem likely.

Same size as the moon? Doubtful.

However, it is going to be bigger than usual...this year is going to be the closest it's been to us in a long, long time.

yeah i was thinking about buying a pretty decent telescope since this will only happen once in our lifetime.
