**Marching band songs**

I was wondering if anyone knows of some songs (CD or individual) that have marching bands performing on them. I have some downloaded, but its like somebody in the stands is recording it, and the clarity isnt good. At the end of the performance, you hear applauses and in one, some guy sneezing. I want something that has excelent sq, like digital or something, and can really make a good front stage shine, something to where I can tell that the drums are on the left, horns on the right, chimes in the middle, etc. If anybody knows of anything, please help me out.

Just for kicks. I like a lot of the high school/college rhythms (spelling) and thought it would be interesing to see how it would sound in my car. Plus, my dad is into the no words music stuff, so I thought he might like it as well.

If you search hard enough you will find FAMU cds out there.

try some orchastra related sites, they might have something. possibly a blue man group cd?

Blue Man Group is a good idea.. I've never thought of that. I am going to burn that cd not and see how it sounds with a sub, lol

go to lime wire and download some Blue Devils Cavaliers anything thats drumcore....search for Cadence which is just Drums and it sounds tight...Snare or Quints FTW!!!!!

Yup thats them. aka the marching 100.

Check for state competitions... I believe they usually record High school/college marching band stuff and release it on CDs... and I bet the clarity would be ok.

I'm not sure where you could look, but Google knows.

those comps, for CA, are in the fall months

You could also try to look by composer. John Philip Sousa is one of the best Americans to have ever done marches, and everyone knows him because composed "Stars and Stripes Forever."
