after all the trouble I went to for the **** amp and subs, I found out the problem was my box... today I purchased a new one pre-made, and it sounds perfect!!! I wired everything manually and this was my first time doin it, and it is now a sucess, ill prolly post some pics later

P.S. thanks to anyone and everyone who helped me out the last few dayz! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i'm not a stickler about cleanliness like some around here, but that mess is scary. Looks like you could lose nearly 1/2 your ground wire.

Congrats on getting it working though, now spend some time making it a bit more purdy

if i say yes about the wires will you kill me? when i bought the wiring kit it didnt come with ground wire..... someone help me by posting the best way to clean this up?

if u have enough power wire, cut a piecce and use it as ur ground as well. If not, then buy some 4 guage from a local shop of off the net. I like to use wire ties to make everything look neat and orderly. If that is your seat folded down, you could turn your amp and hide the wires behind/underneath it. Just play around with it, but for God's sake, get a bigger ground wire.

ok i cut off a piece of my 4awg wire and am now usin it as my ground wire, and i put wires ties on a few things to make it look a lot neater... would anyone suggest mounting the amp to my box? i dunno if thats good or not 2 do

ill have pics laterz

Amp on Box = bad, some people do it some people dont, but most amp manuals will tell u not to put it on the box too. Vibrations fuax with it. And the 4 gauge power with 10 guage ground was a horribzle idea, suprised sh!tz didnt fry. GJ on fixing it tho.

Dunno about you, but my sub box pretty much doesnt vibrate. Vibrations = loss of sound. Brace that box.

With that said, I still probably wouldnt put my amp on my sub box. If you ever plan on moving it, you've got some lovely screw holes through your box, which will not only look ugly, but if not filled will make for crap sound.
