Yah, it does take a ton of time and effort to be able to unerstand all the intracacies and the numerous rules and dynamics that apply to making a good system. Personally, i have given up trying to learn much more, I have wasted enough of my life on this (IMO now...) cost intensive and overall useless hobby. I know how to make a system that sounds good (not the best) and I have a general idea how to put it in and keep it from blowing up.

Mike.. I don't care dood. Phat has a hardon for anyone/thing who's cooler than him, and since a warm shit in 110 degree weather is still cooler than him, life must be pretty hard for him, so I don't take what he says to heart.

Yeah.. I'm finding car audio is a LOT like computers... Sure.. you can stick some cards on a motherboard and get a working computer, but that doesn't mean it's efficient, cost effective, or a good design. Sure, you can attach some wires to a speaker and an amp, but that doesn't mean it's a clean install, it's efficient, or it's a good design.

The difference is, I've been in computers for 12 years... I've been in car audio for .. half a year?

EDIT: nv... I recognize MANY of those stages from my all-night audio install session.. hahah
