making some moofers

How would you know without trying? 157 with 3 WMD2 18's? Sounds feasible to me. 154 with 2 15's in a daily system is already close. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
And for 6k bursts our WMD2's use 1 laminated spider. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ah, so you are a rep of PAP.

Is "laminated" the Chinese word for "multiple spiders spray-glued together"?

And it didnt bottom out??? I just find that hard to believe especially with that kind of power.

Why would it bottom out?
at 6k most woofers bottom out even with multiple layers of spiders even on burps overexcurtion can occur, or even the spiders ripped apart leaving the woofer useless in competition or by having the cone flop all over and not staying linear. At that kind of power and with 1 spider I dont think that woofer would last very long.

Man, I can certainly understand trying to separate yourself form other brands by making statements that sound unique - e.g. "laminated spider", "special extra strong glues" etc, but C'mon. Folks here are a bit smarter than that and will see through the bullshit pretty fast.

If you want to be special, make something special. Be a little innovative.

If the expectation is to put 6kw through a driver, having it bottom with less is a poor design - regardless of how many spiders it has.

The underlined portion is where your argument starts to fall apart. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I personally would not have bumped this thread if I were them. Does not look good for them or the companies they OEM for. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
