Making lasagna this weekend, looking for cooking tips...

you go to sleep with it on the stove?
just got a 3rd degree burn + skin graft on my hand from leaving shit "on" on the stove
I have an electric stove, so I assume that would be safer than gas. But I also have a big slow cooker that I could use as well if safety was an issue.

this was electric stove, but it was grease //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

you live, you learn.

back to the lasagna //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

you guys **** BTW....now I have to make some lasagna next week.....Spring break FTW

Is that only for the no-cook style of pasta, or is that for the regular type as well?
I was told to boil the noodles half way to al dente and then rinse with cold water.
If you boil, they come out soggy. They cook perfectly in the sauce while baking.

Looks like I came to the right place for some tips. Keep them coming guys. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Sorry for "forcing" you guys to cook //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I didn't mean any harm.

I am not a fan of this. depending on the amount of sauce, you can get some hard spots in the noodle. tis why I boil just till flexible
this

i hate hard noodles. and fwiw, i'm not gonna cook any pasta because of this. i may get me some fried chicken... south FTW //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

hm....all you can eat Bojangles every tuesday:woot:

Now someone mentioned make my own pasta, so let's dive into that, because that would be a new thing for me. I can get fresh pasta nearby from an Italian market (not sure about lasagna pasta yet). It is not much more than the store bought boxed stuff. How difficult is it to make my own pasta? Does it require any special tools or much time? I remember my grandma making fresh pasta as a kid. It looked like a bunch of work.
