what is the easiest way to connect two lengths of larger sized wire (0-4 gauge)?
you believed right Fuse Distribution Block, Fuse Blocksdistro block i believe it is called, 0 gauge goes in 1 side and 4 gauge comes out the other.
i guess you have 2 small pieces and instead of just getting the right length your guna try to put them together? you could try an inline fuse...i didnt neccessarily mean 0 gauge to 4 gauge, i meant like two larger wires of the same size
no it wont hurt nothing you will just be protected even morei can use a fuse even though the power wire already has a fuse by the battery? would it hurt anything?
are you saying put wire in the fuse holder?you could use a fuse holder but replace the fuse with same size wire. the splice will generate some heat and cause additional voltage drop due to increased resistance at the splice.
you could also solder the wires together and heat shrink it. for the solder to take, you'd want a low-temp solder and butane torch.
Only because he has a fuse at the battery - his second fuse holder could have a 1/0 wire or a piece of metal rated for that ampacity. Basically, turn the fuse holder into a shunt. Wire must be rated for the fuse amperage though. on an ANL fuse holder you could put a ring terminal on each end (depending on the design).are you saying put wire in the fuse holder?
