Sub is an AQ HDC3 15" w/copper coils

Power is ~1100w (lightnig audio storm x1.1000D)

Vehicle is 99 S-10 pickup (extended cab obviously lol)

Going to be daily ground pounder, loud to the ear but musical...not worried about numbers.

I was thinking about 4~4.25 tuned 37~38hz w/ 60sq of port area. Sound good? should I open the port up more, bigger box? can i tune any lower without sacrificing much output? I've hear that they tend to really mellow out in output when tuned much below 38hz...truth?

Thanks guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Gonna stick with that amp for now, my cousin doesnt have the money for a bigger amp or electrical upgrades at the moment. Plus the LA storm amps are pretty **** tough so should last him a long time lol

4.5cf shouldnt be a problem. I guess I can try to go that route @ 38hz and if it doesnt sound the way he likes we can just add a piece to the ports lenght and flatten out the response.

Anyone else have an opinion?
