You got it all wrong. Don't go to school to attend; go to school to work! Get a job at your school/University/college - nice cushy job, great pay, extended holidays, steady flow of eye candy.

I may quit work, move to Alabama and try and get my PhD in finance instead. I like finance quite a bit.

Well, if you end up becoming a prof, you would probably have the *best* job on the planet. Once you get a few years on your belt, you can slack off and "do research". This means trimming down to teaching two classes a week while pulling in six figures, and cruise the 'net looking for pr0n the rest of the time.

That is the life.

I was talking to my professor about it....He said he works about 20 hours a week during the school semester and about 10-20 during the summer. You need about 3 pubs/yr or so and you are good.

I really would like to teach finance though. It would be the best job in the world.
