Would these work in about 4-5cubes of air? I got about 1200.1 rms watts and i listen to rap and jazz with the ocassional Knights of Bass CD. I wanna keep it sealed too. Thanks all and love the forums alot of good here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I believe when people go that big on enclosure they are ported more often then not. i'd advise against going too much over rec sealed specs. Some subs don't like free air //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If a box is too big the sub acts as if it's in a free air enviroment. With enough power you'll fry it. One of the info guys here can chime in and tell ya how big is too big for that sub though.

I don't think that it would be a good idea to give a mag 1200 watts in a 4 cube sealed enclosure. Hell the optimum ported enclosure is 2 cubes net. I have a my claw mag in a 1.2 sealed with 1100 watts and it sounds awsome.

I also had a chance to sample the new 12 proto. I put it in a 1.5 sealed and I think that that would be the max size I would put it in. 1.2-1.5 sealed with that amount of power. Ported size as i just posted I believe is 2 cubes net tuned 29hz
