would either do, 2 or 4 mags with 650 going to each. still 650 a piece either way because they only come in d2.

2 idmax 12's with 1250 going to each or 4 with 650 going to each

or 4 w6v2 with 650 going to each.

or 2 dub7s with 1300 a piece.

opinions?

oh. and these would all go in sealed enclosures.

i have 2.5kwrms@ 1 ohm to work with. or 1500 at 2 ohms

I have heard the w6, great speakers from a great company. I own a Mag, again excellent sub and company. I havent had the chance to play with the IDMax, but everyone seems to like them.

I say mags cause I have one. Guess I am buyest.

from the w6v2's ive heard, they sound great, but struggle with the lows?

is 650 enough for a mag? or an idmax?

unless there is a huge difference in perofmrnace i am kind of leaning towards the idmaxs. at 210-ish a piece shipped used, they are much cheaper than a new mag or the w6v2

1. Hmm, the 'v2 installs I've heard didn't suffer from that problem, I thought the low end response was fine. Did you hear them in sealed or ported? @ what alignment?

2. I would think yes...you wouldn't need a lot of power to get those to wang. Especially if the enclosure was designed with that in account.

the 2 w6v2s i hear were in the jl sealed box they came in.

also seems like 2 idmax 12s would have around the same displacement of 3 w6v2s

i dont know if i have space for four idmaxes though. thats like 8 cubes.

650 is more then enough for the mag.

The w6 I heard had no problems with low end. They sounded great. But IMO the Mag surpasses them in low end and clarity. Again, I havent been able to play with an IDMax yet so I cant comment on them.

8 cubes?? they should work well in 6 cubes sealed. the maxes are effiecient subs so they should work well with the 650 watts rms. if you didn't like the w6v2's, why did you include them in your choices? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
