what do yall think about this sub? what would u compare it to? better than RE SE? SX? kicker l7? AQ hdc? IDmax? basically any sub within about $200. all in about 2cu^ft and around 1000 watts.

I would say it would perform alot better then most subs that are in the $200 range since you are buying direct vs buying from a B&M. Marks subs are priced very low great dollar for dollar value. If i didnt buy the IXL i would look at the IDMAX or the hdc out of the ones u mentioned.

I'm getting with 2 IXL 18's or 2 18" HDC3's. I like the IXL because it'll 'probably' sound better in a lower tuned box, compared to the HDC3's.

Ported - 84 litres (3 cu. ft.) 28Hz tuning

EBS - 170 litres (6 cu. ft.) 17Hz tuning

2 cubes ported and an 15" doesn't compute too well, no matter what brand you go with. If you are looking at that small an area, 2.5 cubes sealed with some stuffing...

1.9 cubes tuned to 30Hz. If you want loud daily, 2.2 cubes tuned to 35Hz.

These box sizes are 'net' so add the volume taken by the port...
