Mach5 MAW12 vs. SI BM

SI seems to be the new forum boner, I was wondering what your guys' thoughts are on the 10'' BM.

Seems to be the best sub out there without about ~5.5 inch mounting depth, but maybe I am being mislead?

Two of these taking 600 watts rms seem to the best fit for my single cab, but maybe the MAW12's are better?

I am aiming for SQL, but more like 70% SPL/30% SQL. Gets loud but sounds atleast decent doing it.

Anyone have any experience with the BM10's?

mach5's are much cheaper, and will require less power.

is that 600W each?

if you only have 600W total then mach5 all the way, and you could get two for the price of one BM.

Well i would give the BM's 600 each, the MAW12's probably 400, which they should be able to take if I keep the gains @ a decent level.

So are the BM's worth the extra cost?

maybe? reliability is still a question on mach 5. i have one and i say this. no one i know or has heard of has had them for any length of time. i say though from what everyone is saying, mach 5 is money spent wisely, even if they dont last for years you can always buy another for around $30.

maws sound very bad compared to bms, but those 2 subs shouldnt be compared as u can buy like 4 maws for the price of 1 bm lol

Yeah I was just trying to get a feel for the loudest sub that has a mounting depth of less than 6 inches.

700 watts doesnt seem like a lot, should fill the cabin alot better than my MTX's though.

I guess MAW12's are the best setup for reg. cab trucks?

Any objections before I buy these sum'*****es?

Both are good subs, I have not tested the BM, but I love the MAG. I own a MAW-12, solid sub IMO, can't be beat for the money.

i love my MAW. It ain't the clearest sounding sub in the world but it can play loud.

How many watts you givin your MAW? is it a MAW12? What specs are the box?

I too am curently enjoying a set of MAW's but the 15's. If clearance an issue there are always the shallow mount subs. Or even the eD Kv.2 has less than 6" mounting depth.
