mach5 audio, 1000rms into two 10's

Hi. Has anybody ever done this or not? My ported box is 35@2, and I am afraid to fry them. Any thoughts?

gain setting tutorial ftw. it will tell you exactly how to set it.

Or you could just set the gain just below their mechanical limits since you should not need 500rms each to reach full excursion. That would be the logical route instead of the flawed dmm method.

thanks guy for the help. Just put the box in, set gains to little then half way and OH MY GOD mach5's sound AMAZING. I have only been around mediocre subs in sealed, but theses subs POUND on any music.

Hey Immacomputer how do I find mechanical limit to the sub, or is it covered in gain tut as well?

mechanical limit, meaning reaching suspension limits, coil hitting the back plate, or distortion. Just dont turn it where you can hear/see the sub stress.
