two mj18s in 6 cubes sealed off a pb 1500.1D

one solo x 12" in 4 cubes tuned to 36htz off a pb 1500.1D

which will get louder?

All in the install. You are comparing a pair of mid power 'SQ' 18's, to a high power SPL 12.

I say the Mj's as they are closer to optimal power the Solo X is like 2.5k Rms, and factor in the cone area advantage as well. The solo with like 3-5k might get louder by some...

SD of 18's is about 1,000 cm^2 and SD of a square kicker sub is about 690 cm^2.

I don't know how efficient either sub is, so it would be completely in the install but if it were up to me, I would go with the MJ-18's sealed.
