Mach 5 MAW-15 For SPL?

hey guys, just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the 15" Mach 5 MAW-15 for SPL? how well does it perform? i've got a escort hatchback right now, i was thinking of just sticking it in a crx style box, tuned around 45hz w/ 2 4" aeroports off 600w for now, should be upgrading to something more powerful with in a few weeks..

what do you guys think? will it break 140s?

Im sure it will in a hatchback. If you dont then something is REALLY wrong with your setup...

I would do two 6 inch aeros instead though...

Edit: If you still have that soundstream I think that has more potential...

yes it will do 142,6db

In that case I would go for it, its a good sub from what ive heard( kinda wanna pick one up myself). I heard of someone over at SSA(I think) doing a drop in test with an IDQ. The MAW one both the loudness and subjective SQ test...

the mach5 line is very capable of high(ish) numbers. viperoni was doing 145+ with 2 15's (or 18?) and i did mid 130's with a single ported 12..

ya, i'm familar with viperoni, he actually lives in the same city as me, and was at the last comp. i was at. lol

The MAW's have proven to get loud with out needing tons of power.
