G5's can still run the partiton system and so can every other...I have a G4 that I can. But its slow as hell...G5's are still slower running windows.

because pro tools runs smoother on macs...ive NEVER had a program crash on me in os x, where as it happened to me ALL the time on xp

I wanna use a new mac, this older one is slow as shit, but no better than my old pos computer... I need something to run final scratch/serato on, my good pc is ****ed... I can run around 25+ continious tracks in pro tools before my G4 even starts to lag.

There are a ton of shortcuts you have to learn when using a mac...blasted single button mouse. I should anty up and get the mighty mouse.

Protools might run fast and all but mac's have the lowest output voltage ever.

My g4 imac was horrible, my g5 isnt much louder.

sucks, I run all my sound through my scratch amp for fs2, so I guess I wont have to worry about op voltage ******* *** since it all runs through fire wire to a powerful mixer signal =P
