Save your money... My dad's friend got the $500 Maaco paint job. I think he could have done better with a few cans of spray paint.

dent removal is seperate. $250 is their cheapest paint job, NOT including and preparation work. You pay extra for that too.

Save your money... My dad's friend got the $500 Maaco paint job. I think he could have done better with a few cans of spray paint.

That's kind of a bold statement to make. I got that paint job and it turned out quite well.

you can expect a professional paint job to cost around 2k, if not more. I checked out a few body shops that gave me quotes of around 6k to paint my wagon.

they paint decent but its the paint that they use is whats the problem. But a funny story comes to mind was when my dad got his car painted at Maaco they did an ambassador paint job and did a little body work. I guess when they were grinding down the metal which produces sparks, it caught some gas on the car and started a fire, did some damage but they got the things replaced and the paint job looked real good except for the orange peel look

maaco didn't do that bad of a job when they repainted our vehicle. It was better than the heap of rust it was before.

In the end, it cost us a little over a grand. Got a free wax with it too!, but thats because they managed to break a key while it was still in the door lock.

Quality paint jobs = $.

$6000+ isn't uncommon.

Maaco painted my car black and removed a few little dings, took 5 days and costed $1,550... did a pretty good job, looks very nice except on some of the plastic the paint is coming off, but they said they'd repaint the problem areas free of charge if I could drop it off for a fay.

maaco is hit or miss

I reccomend you ask the salesman to meet the guy(s) whos going to be working on your car and hand them a tip,the bodyman & the spray man are usually the 2 your looking for this will ensure you get a little more bang for your buck

i do believe it will depend on your place. ask around and see if the macco near you is any good. the 250 dollar paint job is just basically a respray with clear. the 500 is a sand down, respray, and clear. basically, either save money for a good paint job thats ~2k, do all the prep work yourself and then have macco give it a good spray (probably the best way to go for cheap), or just have macco respray it and deal with minor problems, cuz they wont be THAT bad.
